Hunting Gate / First chipper of the year« Last post by CellarRat on Today at 07:23:42 PM »This morning we cleared some old brush away from the front deck. We displaced several mice and a handsome garter snake. The sun came out and it was time for an adult beverage when this chipper got all upset and chattering at me.
I ducked inside where I had my sons crosman quest 800x .22 waiting. I came out another door and got it right through the ears. This quest has taken more ground squirrels and chipmunks then all the other rifles we have combined. I put a new spring and seal about 2 years ago and maybe 500 shots since then. 2

Air Gun Gate / Re: Looking for some help to perform simple maintenance« Last post by Back_Roads on Today at 06:58:58 PM »One of us definitely needs to go into the airgun rental business.I'm still waiting on my free samples of Ballistol ND 10 weight, or WD40 or the like, internals do not get petroleum oils or any other for most cases unless a lether piston seal is involved. 5

Back Room / Re: So....Whatcha Eating?« Last post by Bicycleman on Today at 06:48:59 PM »Sam's Club has a giant rotisserie. The chickens they cook are done just right for our taste buds. I went and picked up one this morning for Sunday Dinner. We had rotisserie chicken with a baked potato and some salad.
Note: The Rotisserie Chicken is priced at $5. We will make three meals for two (six servings) from one chicken. Good value! 9
PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: HM1000X .22 caliber« Last post by ranchibi on Today at 06:47:30 PM »Was shooting yesterday and was using the JSB Knockouts in 217 and getting groupings a little larger than my thumb nail. Was really fun smacking a 100 yard target 12 out of 12 shots. These slugs look good right now though I have some NSA slugs coming to try as well. I need to see if I have any of the Knockout V2's to see if there is any difference. If these slugs prove to be "the one" I am going to have to buy a LOT of them. I think I mislead you....it's only for checking the diameter of slugs.....my bad! 10
PCP/CO2/HPA Air Gun Gates "The Darkside" / Re: Safepac question« Last post by Rick67 on Today at 06:40:59 PM »I've got 2 safepacs and hate them. One was on my 2250 and the first 2 shots were low power then 6 shots at high power. I got 2 more low power shots and time to refill. I wouldn't take another if it was free. Roy of Mountain Airguns sells Maximus tubes cut to any length for $90. Not too sure if Don Cothran still sells 22xx PCP tubes, but he does have them in C02. I own several of his pieces; great machining and finish 👍 |
