A rare gun to get ahold of here in the Colonies? I managed to get a nice one.
Now the XVI was never intended to be a high power Gun but this one has been tuned a bit above the 12 FPE the UK demands.
It will be a day or so before I Chrony it and go for accuracy but to say I'm impressed is an understatement!
With the Crosman Predators I took a few shots off hand out the back door after mounting the UTG 3-12 SWAT.
I have a target at 73 yards. A steel pan about 10" in diameter. Every shot hit that pan and I have not zeroed the scope yet!
It's on the high list of the quietest guns I have and the trigger is superb!
Being a Tactical lover? This one fits me like a Glove. A few things need changed but those are cosmetic for the most part.
More to come on this rare find here in the Colonies.

1st. My hat is tipped to AustinB! Not only did he do a FINE job on this gun but worked with me on the slow exchange of the trade.
Not many would put up with that and I can only state I'd do business with him anytime!
Austin took the trouble and time to get the best guide you can find on this Gun then followed it.
Logun-ators guide is probably the Bible of the Logun S-16 guns.
Shooting around 17 FPE after Austin worked magic? It's above the limits for a UK gun designed to shoot 12 FPE.
I had read many times about the hard cocking and rough trigger. This piece of kit has none of those issues!
Austin did his stuff! Thanks Mate!
There is a lot of bad stuff on the interwebs about this Gun and the line before it. Just like us here? A Guy stepped up and solved those issues.

Like the MACR I had? One can only up the power so far due to the design.
I never expect this XVI to be a high power shooter. I have other Guns for that.
My review is based on a modified XVI in nearly new condition from the looks of it.
One of the first things I looked at was the serial number. It starts with 007! Seems my rare guns always have that!
Anyway. Yes it has a lot of rails. Maybe they were going for the Tactical lovers. Truth be told? The long rail on top is over kill.
Once you mount a scope? The rest of the rail is null and void. Perhaps you could find off set mounts for other stuff but really?
The bottom rail is great for a quick disconnect Bi-pod but there is another issue there.
Seems they have a built in Laser mount in the fore stock. Mount a bi-pod and you've screwed the pooch on that!
Now the side rails are great for lights or. Say you want the laser (Good luck finding that!). Use the bi-pods from the Black-Ops stuff.
On the rails. No issues mounting things to those so they are standard.

I've learned the old Crosman 0420 Laser is a drop in fit.
I also found to fit the Royal Arms hand grip will require some cutting on it. Since the one I have is fitted for another project?
I ordered a new one to do the cutting on. I love those grips!
Here's the XVI broken down.
Note I have made sure no Peanut butter or such is in the back ground to distract SOME people.
The Butt part is not the original part and I think it's an FX part? I don't like that and am looking for a replacement.
I also don't believe the grip is original but the Royal Arms will replace that also.

I just had to look at the insides of the LDC part.
I'd seen parts mentioned as curlers. Now I know why!
Those look like curlers my Mom had years ago! No idea what the wrapping material is.
I'll test it with and without the wrapping stuff.

Being a discontinued Air Gun? Good luck finding magazines!
Only one I found is at PA and it's a .177.
Not sure if those can be bored to .22 but it would cost $70+ to find out!
I do like them though. Very much like the Hatsan Magazines with the o-ring.
8 shots in each side. Fire the 8 then drop the mag and flip it for another 8.

A link to a review by Jim Chapman. He had the FAC version PA carried at the time. Not the EB XVI.
http://www.americanairgunhunter.com/logans16.html
Filling the tank is straight forward. Attach the adapter (which has QD fitting from AGD I added) and pump it up to 200 bar.
I'm swapping the scopes also since the new compact UTG came today.
The rear of the muffler has holes which bleeds air back into the body of the XVI.
Muffler.
Gun
May do a crown on that barrel while I have it apart.

Got the Royal Arms grip fitted today. Some minor work to finish it but it looks and feels great on this gun.
Only problem is some areas you can see the grinding marks. That leads to maybe buying a mini sand blaster to texture those areas?
Does this rabbit hole EVER stop?

iirc correctly, this gun is related to the earlier Logun S16 aka "Sweet 16), and is an improved version of that gun. Good to see one here.

I've always liked the idea of this gun, but over the years, I kept hearing about problems with the magazine/clip. It kept me away from them. But they are really cool!!
