Hi, new to air guns.

Currently have a Crosman MAR177, looking to expand and get a new rifle.

Have a chance to get a Gen 1 Marauder at a really good price.
Is this a good rifle to start with for plinking/target shooting or should I get the newer Gen 2 model?
Are there people out there that can tune a Gen1  for me?
Not sure I could do it myself.
