The high pressure line between the top of the head to the output block . The line won't seal up on top between the fitting and the barrel on the line that squishes down to seal around the line anyone have any ideas

It's not the threads it's leaking threw the top of the nut . The nut on the line swishes the barrel into the fitting to make a seal but I may try it any way just to see

Sorry now I see what you are talking about. I think that is a flare fitting like a car break line. Make sure the nut it tight. If it is take a look at the flare under the nut. It may have a crack in it. If you have or know someone with a flaring tool you could make a new one from parts from the auto parts store for a few bucks.

Yeah it's like a flare but it is a compression fitting there isn't an actual flare on the line the part that compresses is just a tad loose and I can't tighten it any tighter . I think it is stainless steel line I may try to solder the compression piece to the line tomorrow after work thanks for your help I quit working on it tonight got frustrated with it . I had it sealed up to 4100 psi and tried to make it better and it just got worse now only sealing to about 3500 psi idk

Soldering didn't work I guess I'll remove the compression part and try to replace it with a new one

If you go to the auto parts store for break line just make sure you get a metric thread.

Here's a pic I took with the fitting size labeled. It's an M12-1.5 to M12-1.25 adapter on mine.

I'm wonder if I have the Reed valve the correct way in the top of the high pressure cylinder or if it isn't lined up just right

That small valve could be it. There is also a check valve behind the outlet nipple I believe.

I opened the top cylinder up and checked out the Reed valve pulled off the other part of the cylinder and looked at the high pressure piston removed the plastic rings from the top cylinder piston and found the oring under it was torn so I replaced all the orings and the plastic pieces over the top of them it seems like ever since I switched to the air Venturi compressor oil it has gotten worse I noticed that oil is thicker than mobil one that I was using and the air from my bottles didn't smell like it used to I'm wondering if the air Venturi oil is to thick to make it up to the seals in the top of the high pressure cylinder and when it dries out they don't seal . I changed my oil back to mobil one one did a few drops down the top where the air discharges from . Everytime I've taken it apart the top end has been sooted up so it must detenate some of the oil let it set for a bit and blew out the oil and ran it up to 3000 psi with out anything blowing apart drained it and decided to drop a few more drops in and leave it set over night to see if it will seal up

If it doesn't work ill recheck for air leaks and if I don't find any I'm going to rebuild my shoe box and start using it again since I know that works it's just slow

Does any one know what the valve on the low side left if your looking at the cylinder does. Is it a safety valve or does it purge moisture I found it leaking all the time once I got up to 3000 psi it just won't build any more pressure it should be easy to figure out but I'm stump

That is a safety blow-off valve, works on the low side much the same as the burst disc does on the high side. If air is leaking out of it it may be worn or damaged, could remove it for inspection, larger shop compressors use blow-offs like this on their tanks.

I don't want to get into an oil debate with anyone, but I have been using the Husky brand straight synthetic compressor oil from Home Depot since I first got my Yong Heng last summer and it has worked very well. I have just over three hours on it so far and have only changed the oil one time after the initial break-in and my oil level is fine and the color is still pretty clear. Unless something happens to change my mind I will continue to use this oil as it has caused me no grief and is readily available where I work, and the price in pint bottles isn't bad. I get only a little spotting on the cotton tampon filter after the compressor and I have never had enough to make it to the other side requiring a filter change yet. I inspect it after each use as I remove it to let it air dry before the next time I refill my scba tank. I'm not using carbon in my secondary filter so I get a slight smell of oil from my tank but there has been no oil beyond the tampon filter or any found in my molecular sieve.
