FX 4 stage turbo pump issue
«

Hello,
I've this pump for about 3 weeks now. I used it to fill the bottle of my Boss 3 times. What happens is when I'm doing the up movement slowly, it keeps sucked down and requires lots of pull to go up (it hurts a lot) and also does the pffeee sound up. If I do the movement quick enough with 1 sec pause up and down, it seems to work well. Seems like a one way valve or something stays closed instead of opening for suction or else. When doing the movement fast, it works.
Dunno if it's normal or if I should send it back for waranty??
I have to say that I filled the bottle in 3 or 4 times with time to cool down between and I've also let moisture go out.
Thx in advance.

Common rail direct fuel injection works on 36,000 psi flawless thousands of working hours(20+ million strokes) . youtu.be/A5-P-jvXZgw
Why in the 21st century most manufacturers produce standard hammers for PCP, solenoid hammer + balanced valve has 100% efficiency and high precision in work where the trigger can be brought to perfection . Today, you can buy a good new smartphone for 50$ and new quality common rail fuel injector for 150$ . I hate them all for that...(I hope so Skout Epoch Airguns)

Different pump but I think they all work the same. Check this thread,

go to reply #15, o-ring #20 might be your problem. Check for loose fitting worn out o-rings and re-lube with silicone oil.

Just to let you know, since then, I haven't had any more issues with it. Those pumps seem to be whimsical...

Hello, I've again had the issue. Decided to dismount it and look/grease the inside. Was only able to reach the 2nd tube disassembly, I don't know how to go further but at the moment I already applyed the recommended grease. I also applied at the port opening where we select between 3-4 stages. Seems to be solved for the moment but I still would like to be able to open it further in case of. I don't know how to take off the cap under the grip assembly on the second tube and also at the other end, the brass piece.

Just to let you know, since I regreased everything inside, all o-rings and rods, no more issures. Looks like the issue then was the lack of grease on o-rings not allowing them to do check valve properly. I'm able so simulate the issue now only by pumping really slowly but at a normal speed works great.

It started again to be sucked down this week... This time I decided to open it even further to see where it hangs and there as quite a nice surprise...
This o-ring highlighted below was a wrong one :
You can clearly see that it is the same as the upper one which does this kind of check valve in the brass piece.
The fact is that it wasn't the same one but a much thinner one which is even not used in this pump (but in the 3 stage pump only). What happened is that this thin o-ring was sucked inside of the hole that does check valve on the brass piece... When I added everywhere some grease last year (without having access there it just went everywhere when pumping) it helped sealing the check valve even with that o-ring part sticking inside...
Now some grease has been whipped off with the multiple uses and it started again to fail...
Since I didn't understood what was the purpose of this o-ring, I reassembled the pump without it and tryed it. It worked how it should, but without the cushonning at the end of the upper stroke. The brass piece was hammering the opposite of the tube somewhere.
I reopened it again and added an o-ring that I found suitable for this cushonning task, thick enough for not being sucked again inside the small check hole. End of the story, everything works perfectly.
So my guess about it, it must be the guy that assembled the pump (by FX) that did the mistake. I think that he forgot this o-ring and already assembled and glued the brass piece on the tube... For not having to take it again appart, he took an o-ring that is easy to slide on the top of everything (and thus much thinner).
This is for the others that could be in the same case as I was.
And forgot to say "dang" those brass pieces once loctited are a real pain to unscrew even with weak loctite...
