No hose required on the lower picture (black regulator). The male thread screws into the receiver of the rifle, a 400 or 500 cc bottle screws into the other side.
QuoteNo hose required on the lower picture (black regulator). The male thread screws into the receiver of the rifle, a 400 or 500 cc bottle screws into the other side. I don't understand.... The male threads on the black regulator appear to be 18mm x 1.5mm or similar.... What rifles are threaded female with a thread that looks like that to accept a tank?.... …. The only threads I have seen on PCPs are either 1/8" NPT female for a Foster or G 1/2-14 female for a paintball / CO2 tank.... …. Totally confused here....Bob
So what you meant to say is that the male threads go into the BOTTLE, and the other end (not visible) is female threads and fit onto a male 18mm x 1.5mm threaded stub protruding from the gun?....That makes sense, if that is what you meant....So you must remove the regulator from the bottle to adjust it, right?.... the adjusting screw is inside the male stem?....Bob
Quote from: rsterne on March 20, 2019, 02:51:17 PMRichard, that is true of the bottom (black) regulator.... The upper (gold) regulator is adjusted by rotating the gold body (see the video).... but is intended for tanks with DIN fittings, not 18mmx1.5mm or 5/8"-18NF female bottle threads.... It can't easily be used on a standard SCBA tank, either.... Travis, that's a great product for the standard bottles (18mm or 5/8")…. and I'm sure will be a very popular replacement for the regs which must be either removed from the tank or have the air pressure bled off to zero to adjust.... You might, however, consider offering it with either Foster fittings both ends, or a CGA-347 on the inlet and a Foster on the outlet, complete with a bleed valve, so that it can be used for tethering.... I find the lack of inline, adjustable regulators, incorporating a gauge for output pressure and a bleed valve to bleed the tether, completely frustrating.... The only ones currently available for North American SCBA tanks are based on this huge, expensive beast....https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Regulator-6000-PSI-2-gauges-scuba-compressor-paintball-bauer-mako-coltri-eagle/181541288614and then you have to buy the inlet and outlet connectors separately, along with a bleed fitting.... or purchase that assembly from JoeB…. It's not that this is rocket science, just that nobody has bothered to address the (admittedly small) crowd that wish to tether their PCPs to an SCBA tank using an adjustable regulator....Bob Bob I do offer it with the adapters I stated that in my dealer thread. The top one is a beautiful unit, and would be perfect for tethering a PCP for bench shooting.... Only problem is that it uses a DIN connector, which is not common in North America.... Maybe someday they will make an inline regulator with a Foster QD on both ends so that you could just install it in your tether.... or one made to fit on the standard SCBA tanks with a CGA-347 inlet and a Foster on the output....
