I like my Chrony F1 as I have shot well over 1000 rounds over it both indoor and out and have had less then a handfull of errors. When I did get errors most of the time it was my fault by shooting at spots on the target that were not lined up with the sensors. I've heard many good things about the Pro Chrony and maybe if I knew about them at the time I was buying a Chrony I would have looked into them.
Just got a used Chrony Ballistic printer the other day and did some tuning of my Rainstormwith it today. It was so easy and quick as I would adjust the spring tension screw shoot a 20 shot string read the info adjust the screw again and another 20 shoots. After 10 or so times I have Rainstorm adjusted perfectly to the FPS & FPE that I am looking for.
If you ever get a chance to get a used ballistic printer at a reasonable price you should not hesitate, I am sure you will like it.

I did get a few minutes in daylight today to make sure the Competition Electronics Shooting Chronograph was working properly, shot four pistols and had no errors. Then is started to sprinkle!
I had no luck with any light source I tried in my basement so I ordered the official light kit.

Hi Nick,
I found I had to play around with the location of my chrony inside, but the short of it is that it sits under an incandescent track light (just one) and it works fine. Good luck with sorting out your light source. I'm sure you'll be anxious to do some "winter" testing. How's the dogs?

Happy Days! Now I can use my ProChrono in the basement. I tried all sorts of lights, led's and reflectors, then gave in and got the official lights. They work just fine. Just put me behind in my squirreling away $$$ for another gun!
Dog's are doing fine, they don't get out enough.
