Sheridan Model B Sporter repair
Jirushi:
Hi,
A friend bought this B from Baker Airguns in September.
It misses the original black paint finish, but we both like the way it looks.
I have partially disassembled it.
Thought I'd leave the valve untouched, plus I probably don't have the right tools to take it apart ;D
The pump cup feels too loose in the tube; I hope that's why the gun doesn't build up pressure.
I don't even hear air going through the valve when pumping.
Thanks to advice from 1900colt, I am going to try to soak the pump cup in transmission fluid.
I thought I'd share some photos as there doesn't seem to be much technical info on these on the net.
A bit of a "photobomb", but maybe some people like to see it.
Cheers, Louis

hi lOUIS
Hi Louis - Nice, informative post, as usual.
Iirc, you also have an "A". Can you identify the differences between these two models for us.
TIA
Pellet Fun:
Please photo bomb all you want. I've been hoping to see disassembled pics of the A & B and your right. Photos like these just are not found.
Good show Louis and thank you!

Hi Louis!
Is there supposed to be an aperture in the receiver rear sight?

Louis,
Looks like it has potential for a nice restoration.
I also have a Model B with a letter/number combo stamped on the bottom of grip. Can you identify what the stamp is on this one? Hard to tell from the pics.
Thanks for posting.
Steven
