We are about half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. On the California coast. We hold field target matches on the 3rd Sunday of most months.
Regular match fees are $10 for the general public.
We will also be holding the bigger Western States match on August 17th & 18th.
We are a relatively new addition to the San Luis Smallbore Association and are looking for new airgun shooters as members. We also have weekly Wednesday afternoon/evening practice shoots for members and guests on the silhouette range with a BBQ afterwards. There is no charge to attend these shoots as a member or guest.
Follow the link at the bottom of this post for more information.

We will be having a 48 shot match. The sight in range opens at 8am.
If you are traveling from out of the area, and want to camp Saturday night, let me know. If we get a few campers, I'll do a BBQ Saturday night at the clubhouse

Our last match for this year. We will be having a 48 shot match. The sight in range opens at 8am.
Besides the standard AAFTA Dvisions/Classes, we are allowing
Freestyle
(CAFTA) style shooters. That means all AAFTA legal shooting aids as well as laser range finders. So bipods/sticks and high power scopes/rangefinders can be used together.

We normally want to set about a T35 course. This one seemed particularly difficult so I documented it. Follow the above link for details. It was tough, especially for us piston shooters.
I'm still shooting my Diana 34, sitting on the ground, sans bipod. It is challenging but I'm getting better. I switched from JSB 7.87gr to 8.44gr and they seem to be a little better in the wind. I got my dope dialed in a little better and am pleased with the score. My arch-rival
, Jeff C, also shooting a Diana, had some trouble today. He ran out out of the the only pellets that his gun shoots well.
Alan shot a great score with the Marauder.

This match in August 17th and 18th has caught my eye. My son and I may just have to make this. It is a 6 hour drive one way for us so we will be camping for sure. Pop up tent trailer. Sounds like a great time. See what we can do. Good luck on the upcoming matches!

Next month, our match will be Easter Sunday morning. It will be a camping match with dinner provided Saturday night at the range. Free camping Saturday for the Sunday match. The Easter Sunday Hull family BBQ is at the neighboring El Chorro regional park and all competitors at the "Easter Egg Hunt FT match" are invited for lunch after the match.

Morro Bay Airgunners FT match this Sunday 04/20/2014
Out of town competitors can get to the range early Saturday afternoon and sight in. We will be having a BBQ Saturday night at the clubhouse. There will be free camping available at the range Saturday night. Bathroom/washroom available but showers may not be open (there is a always a cold hose). A light breakfast will be served Sunday morning in the clubhouse.
We will be having a 48 shot match. $10 entry. Awards for high PCP and high Piston shooters. The sight in range opens at 8am Sunday morning. Forecast for Sunday is clear and 67 degrees F.
This will be a good chance to practice for the August Western States Grand Prix match.
Sunday, after the match, competitors are invited to the Hull family BBQ at El Chorro Regional park near the shooting range.
