QuoteI have bought 2 Gamo'sA Big Cat and a Whisper... "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me."Swore never again.Sorry to hear that Scott. My WIldcat Whisper is still more accurate than I am and actually a very nice gun after;CDT GR4T triggertorque/locktite all screwsCP scope (it ate several other cheap scopes)I will admit had I known everything from this forum I would have bought an Urban as my first AGShe's cheap and all plastic, but I enjoy plinking with my PT-80 as well
Buy your quality, too expensive springers while you can. Those are gone in 5 - 8 yrs.
Leupold scopes are not magnum airgun rated as far as I have been told. Some of the Burris scopes might be . I would not like ti see you ruin a good scope so maybe check with the dealer you bought it from if that applies .

When asked, Leupold always replies that ALL their scopes are magnum spring piston airgun rated.
Just had a look at the latest catalogue ofofferings to NZ by the Gamo Importers Vaughan Sports . Plastic stocks in the main spoken as if they are very desirable. Different colours ,even green , but really just a mix of previous models with parts swapped around. The outstanding feature is the prices asked. I just can't see the value in the product. I suppose that is what happens when ones exceeds 3 score years and ten by quite a bit.I have enough to keep me going but i wonder if I will experience the wonderfulness of a new gun again.I still really like those that I have .
For the longest time I was about the only one here in the states that would work on Gamo guns, most of the other tuners snubbed them as not worth wasting their time on.I've been out of touch for the better part of two years with building a new home, moving and I still haven't setup my shop...I very much intend to get back into airgun tuning again...
