Are these rods, replacement pump rods you have made?
Looks to me from the diagram the spring valve guide would be a very complex piece to fabricate? Assume these don’t get worn or damaged in normal use?

Seems engineered to robust super quality. No one owned a Chrony in 1948?
Thank you for the great pics and diagram. The Sheridan A/B airguns are special for sure. It is very interesting to see how they designed these valves compared to the ones in common use today. Your solution to the excess space at the valve inlet is quite elegant. It would be interesting to know how the performance is improved. I would guess one could easily save a couple pump strokes or more to achieve normal velocities.Again thanks for the great work and sharing how you did it. This obviously way beyond my capabilities with the tools I own.Steve
Your gun is so cool, it hand pumps? And has a gauge? Or am I wrong?

Yes, this gun is a pumper and has a gauge attached to the valve.I have several guns but only one other with a gauge. Some can be seen here:https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=136879.msg1386828#msg1386828I like the Crosman guns as they can be modded endlessly, aka Lego guns.
Tack Driver 10,Has this modified valve been installed in the rifle yet? Any news on how it's performing?
