What if anything have you done to YOUR discovery? Which mods were the best bang for the buck in you opinion? Can you recomend a good pcp tuner who is taking on new work? I checked out TKO, and tried Mac1 but the site seems to be down right now and i'd love to see some other options. Thanks to everyone for all the help so far. This site is the best.

I have 2 discos and the only thing I ever did to them was to add a TKO to each one. Other than that they shoot so nicely and accurately that I never felt the need to do anything else to them. I'm sure other members will chime in and recommend a good pcp tuner for you.

What are you looking for? I have done the following: polished the trigger sear, made a power adjuster, smaller transfer port, lightened the striker, changed from .177 to .22. and the three screw trigger mod that I didn't care for because of the sear drag on the striker, undid that one. Think thats about it except cleaning the barrels with some metal polish.

1. The TKO LDC ( great buy, QUIET )
2. TKO trigger unit is suppose to be a good upgrade aswell. ( don't have yet)
3. Power adjuster ( you can DIY,buy kit,or have it done professionally)
4. Second barrel band ( secures/protects barrel from moving)
5. Bolt probe ( seats pellet, into rifling better)
6. Repeating breach w/ Marauder Mag ( don't have,no need)
You can make the Gun whatever you want...which is why it is so cool..It is also better to Call Tim at Mac1 for info
Turn around time for getting a disco tuned by him is around 2 weeks. Mine came back a sleeper, that is a tack driver! and if I wanted it can shoot up to 30 fpe

i made mine into a power house at the expense of shot count and conistancy
opened up the transfer port and angle, opened up the front part of the valve ,lighter valve spring, heavy hammer spring,2400psi fill, extended probe bolt with a 14" barrel i achieved 38fpe using jsb monsters(5 shots) and 50+fpe with a 24" barrel same pellet

My barrel is definitely in need of a second band. It seems to move independently of the rest of the gun. i am also not thrilled about the plastic trigger guard. Do any of the replacement triggers replace the guard? Newguy, how many shots in that mag? did you have to do anything special to be able to use them?

need high profile scope rings, and then shave 3mm off the end of the bolt (easy peasy) shaving the bolt is recommended even if you dont get the mags as it makes it easier to load pellets
i have the .177 disco so i have 2 10 shot aluminum magazines.

How do you shave 3mm off the bolt? What do you use? How do you measure that small of an incriment

you must take teh gun apart, do it on a clean counter. no need to degass it. there are plenty of blown up diagrams for the gun
you use a standard ruler to measure it. i used an air grinder and a black starpie. but they said a dremel tool will work fine, anything that will cut metal really
http://www.airgunarena.com/images/c/c9/Discoveryexplodeddrawing.jpg
do be careful though, when seperating the barrel and tube and all of the other associated parts,t ehre is a tiny piece, it is not labeled on that diagram but its the piece between the air tube and the breech. its about the size of a .177 match pellet.... dont lose it hehe
