On my own for dinner tonight. Picked up some cheap cuts of steak from the local supermarket. Pan-fried it with some salt and pepper. It was tender and delicious! Wow, it was only $3.50/lb! I usually get ribeye which costs about 9 bucks a pound. I just grabbed this since I figured I was only pan-frying. Looks like I'll be buying this cut more often.Yesterday was Susan's birthday, so we have leftover birthday cakes. I had a slice of red velvet and carrot cake.
that looks yummy!

Hey Dinh.... was in Walmart yesterday and picked up a couple loaves of the bread.... I may have misled a bit. It's not English muffin bread. It's actually called English toasted bread. It was located on the top shelf where they sell the bulk rolls, buns and such.
Polish sausage and perogies, with pan fried onions, mushrooms and green pepper. And a side of buttered beets.
chicken fried steak and gravy.
They just finished remodeling our local KFC in Troy. We stopped and had the buffet a few days ago and they had their version of it. It was good but not nearly as good as home made. I must say, Betty Lou and I ate for just under $20 and left very satisfied. We got there like 5 minutes after they opened. Some of the food was just hitting the buffet so all was hot and fresh. Didn't take long for the line to grow to the door. We timed it perfectly.
