The FEDEX guy couldn't have timed it more perfectly. He came knocking at the door with my Hatsan pistol while the wife was out getting her nails done
Anyway, signed for my pistol and made a bee line for the basement workshop to unwrap my fathers day present to myself.
Nicely boxed, comes with a very nice cocking aide that screws securely onto the barrel. It does add a couple of inches to the overall length but it's ok as it really does help me to cock the pistol. Overall quality on the pistol is very nice. Metal is nice, no dings, dents or scrapes from manufacturing, just a nice even, smooth surface. The bluing is nice, certainly not the best I've ever seen but not the worst either.... just about what I was expecting so nothing to complain about here. The rubber/plastic grips are fitted nicely onto the pistol and I must say it is extremely comfortable to hold and shoot. I have a large hand and thumb and the grip is perfect for me.
The fiber optic sights are really very nice and very easy to adjust. I usually have a real hard time with open sights but these sights worked very well for me. Easy to see, easy to adjust, easy to line up sight picture and very bright. I mounted a red dot scope on it but I could very easily use these open sights with no problem at all. Matter of fact with the open sights I was consistently hitting a tin can at 30 yards that I have sitting on a piece or re-bar in my backyard range.
The cocking effort takes some force but the cocking aid helped quite a bit and after a few shots I got used to cocking it, but it definitely takes some effort. The lockup is very solid and tight with no movement whatsoever. I cleaned the barrel but there was very little oil and "gunk" in there and it only took 4 or 5 patches for the barrel to be squeeky clean.
The dovetail grooves cut into the top of the pistols receiver are cleanly cut and deep and centered perfectly on top of the receiver.
The trigger,, ah the trigger
.... all I can say is the trigger is a dream. The easiest way for me to describe it so you'll have a clear picture is to say that the trigger on my pistol breaks as cleanly, lightly and crisply as my CDT triggers and that's saying a lot. The trigger is adjustable but my trigger is such a dream that I wouldn't even think about touching it. When you fire the pistol has a "blow back" recoil action that is advertised to absorb some of the recoil and I can tell you that it truly does work just as it's supposed.
When I fired the pistol there was just a very quick, solid firing cycle and the blow back action truly did absorb a good percentage of the recoil. Upon firing there was absolutely no torquing, twisting or vibration.... just a quick solid "thump" and really very little recoil at all enabling me to keep the pistol on target for my after shot follow through.
It was raining so I did my shooting seated at my shooting bench, which is covered with an umbrella and I couldn't set up my chrony due to the rain, but even without the chrony I have no doubt that this pistol is either actually at 600 fps or darn close to it. I was using 14.3 CPL's for my shooting and the way the pellets were slamming into the plywood target backing and the impact they were having on my heavy metal spinner targets I have no doubt that the pistol is hitting extremely hard and right around that 600 fps claim. I will of course do chrony testing when the rain stops and report my findings but I have to say I am really very impressed with the power of this pistol.
Like I said, I have much more testing to do and report on but just with the 30 minute shooting session I had today I am thrilled with this pistol and convinced I have found the perfect pistol to take with me into my deer tree stands so I can harvest squirrels while I wait for bambi to show up.
I'll report my testing results as I get to play with the pistol more.
Thank you Scott at AGD for a great deal on a super pistol
Jeff

I'll be sighting in the red dot, doing some chrony testing and pellet testing as soon as the weather clears up, hopefully in the next day or so and will post my results.

100% agree with all you have said about this jewel of a break barrel pellet pistol.ordered my laser today and am still looking for a good long eye relief scope.leaning towards the utg 4x32 or 2.5x32. haven't made up my mind.this pistol can do 50yard shots with no problem and accurately too.

Could you measure the length of your 11mm groves? I need to order an 11 mm to picatinny/weaver rail adaptor. Thanks! Steve
