I'd been wanting a Diana of some sort, missed a few used on eBay/GunBroker. Numrich had the 350 for $250 new so that's what I did. Here's where the confusion sets in, I'd read the T06 was pretty good, but this one is terrible. Out of the box a stiff breeze would have set it off so I turned the spring tension all the way up. It's still like squeezing a marshmallow--too light, long, squishy and then breaks into an overtravel black hole. Blindfolded I'm not sure I could tell the difference between it and the $200 Gamo. What am I missing here?-------------From the manual:First Stage Weight and Trigger Weight: lt is possible to regulate the first stage weight and trigger weight by tuming the screw [3]. • Turn clockwise: Weight will be increased • Turn counter clockwise: Weight will be reduced First stage weight ranges from .66 lbs / 300 g (at a minimum) to .84 lbs / 380 g (at a maximum). Trigger weight ranges from .88 lbs / 400 g (at a minimum) to 1.1 lbs / 500 g (at a maximum). CAUTION TRIGGER FORCE IS CAPABLE OF ADJUSTMENT BELOW THE 3 LB (1.35 KG) LEVEL. WHEN ADJUSTED BELOW 3 LBS, THE AIRGUN COULD FIRE WHEN DROPPED-------------Seems to contradict itself, max is 1.1 lbs but below 3 lbs is a drop hazard? I would agree under 3 lbs can be a hazard, so why in the world would a sporter type rifle have a max of 1.1 lbs to begin with Thinking out loud, would a heavier trigger spring give it some 'feel'?
First off what kind of trigger pull are u looking for? If we knew that maybe I can or others can help you even further, myself personally I like a long first stage trigger with a solid second stage wall that breaks without me think about it when I want it to release!
Took the trigger apart found nothing wrong, and technically it works. But no matter what I do the 2nd stage won't adjust below ~1/8" of travel....creeeeppp. Granted set at 1# it's harder to notice than at 2#, but still there. I have a couple Weihrauch with the Rekord triggers, they perform like what I'd expect in a decent trigger. The total movement is ~3/16" vs 1/2" on the T06. Weihrauch 2nd stage alone is 1/16", 2 1/2 lbs and has a positive stop....a normal trigger so to speak. Ordinarily I'm not OCD about this stuff, but wanted to make sure I'm not crazy. Trigger didn't live up to expectations so started measuring and testing to confirm what I was feeling.Been fighting this trigger for 3 days, any longer and I'll end up throwing it out in the trees and walking away. LMBO Wiped it down and packed back in the box, set it on shelf. If I'd paid full price for this rifle I'd be livid, trigger feel and accuracy are almost identical to my Gamo whisper fusion mach 1 from Walmart. Gamo is fine for a $200 gun, expected more from a $400 Diana. End rant. lolObviously every has different expectations, experience, and interpretation of definitions. Thanks for all the help.
Mark, I would agree on both counts. However I'm not a big fan of reducing sear engagement for sake of a better trigger. I've done a few trigger jobs to improve economy type equipment, but the T06 is a nice unit functioning as intended. And I'm sure it's the long travel gives the leverage for the light pull while keeping the sear seated deep for safety. I'm a believer in the drop test, won't give up that margin.Besides, I'd rather be shooting than working on one. LOL
