Back Room / Re: So....Whatcha Eating?« Last post by brewbear on Today at 12:07:01 AM »I eat whatever my wife or MIL cooks (mostly) ... since I got home from the hospital with strict orders from the doctors to not bend, lift ... in other words no effort of any kind whatsoever I'm not allowed in the kitchen or any other cooking area, blackstone, smoker and grill included. My wife took it a step further and threatened me with bodily harm if I so much as I set foot in the cooking areas and given my current condition, my 5 year old niece can beat the snot out of me.I not anywhere as bad as you. But my wife has tried to take very good care of me while I am hobbled. My problem is that I am not one to like being taken care of . And having someone wait on me isn't easy for me Same for you Roy!. I am very much the same way, I like doing things for myself and it is irritating when someone else is waiting on me hand and foot. I have to grin and bear it since I'm not accustomed to this and at the same time I would hurt her feelings. 4
Air Gun Gate / Re: What the heck is going on with my Diana?« Last post by Methuselah on Today at 12:06:37 AM »if you changed the breech seal they take time to break in! and could take up wards of a few tins of pellets to start sealing right! and another thing I would check is how consistant are the pellets you are using? have you measured them? I'd say IMO that what you are seeing is normal for that type of rifle! it isn't a target rifle! its a break barrel and a entry level gun from Diana not that that's a bad thing but IMO I myself included sometimes expect to much from things and drive myself nut's to make something perfect that just will never be! JMO I do that too and am investigating my breech seal fitment which seems flush. I've read it should stick out and the rifle shoots high with a scope. I've also read there should be metal to metal contact. Seems contradictory. Anyway, people will see this thread if they do what i did, search function. Seems resolution was never stated (unless there was another thread started). Makes me wonder if a scope replacement fixed the issue (pics are gone, but not hard to imagine understanding the problem), or did the rifle get sold, yadda yadda yadda. I thought I might just add one other possibility that came to mind. The barrel pivot. If not cocked consistently maybe the "shift" is there? Anyway, interesting thread. 5

Air Gun Gate / Re: So.....what did you shoot today?« Last post by airgunaut on April 27, 2024, 11:32:04 PM »Cold wind drove me back inside after I attempted to practice offhand standing outdoors with the P3. Settled for sitting on the floor and using a bent knee for some support. When I stepped outside again it wasn’t as cold or windy, so I fired another 10x each side at a mini soda can, also sitting on the ground but at 33’ instead of the indoor 19’.
Taking advantage of the not-so-bad weather lull between storms, I then fired the 880, 10 pellets split between the can at 50’ and up at a dead tree at about 65’. Sure is nice having a scope. The Blue Streak was next. After firing 3 pellets at the same tree and 7 pellets at an empty Herdez salsa can and noticing that the hits tended left of POA, I went inside and adjusted the peep sight. After dinner the calm still held (but now cold), and I verified the sight adjustment with 5 shots at the same can. 8

Truth be told, I came really close of not pulling through and that scared the living daylight out of her. She spent the entire 5 weeks at my bedside. 10
