Hey Gene;
My father in law's brother was one of the original "Shore Watchers" back in WWII. He was one of the original "Jed Birds" as it were. I barely knew him. Well he has passed on and recently his widow has a yard sale. Wifey and I went over there and as you can imagine he had accumulated some very interesting stuff in such a full life.
There was a little tool box full of the kind of stuff that a gunsmith might like to keep handy. He also had owned a Diana model 36 which I bought and a Gurka knife which I also bought.
Well that model 36 shoots so sweet and quiet that I've been shooting it mostly the past few months, a tribute to a better man than me.
Anyway, yesterday I pulled out that model 48 you tuned for me... What a sweet rifle. You done good Gene, thanks.

Good story erskine. Finding an old sweet shooter like that is special, and you will keep it in the family circle.
