Bob Nowlin (bnowlin) informed me that his older brother Hubert Nowlin, a retired firefighter from Houston, passed away suddenly last Friday. My heart felt condolences and I would like to ask that we send prayers to Bob, his and his brother's families. GOD Bless and thank you for your years of service!!!!

Well guys we have just had a beautiful funeral put on by the Houston Fire dept honor guard, if there can be a beautiful funeral. Thanks everyone for you thoughts and prayers. Believe it or not it helps a little in closure to hear from you folk. For he and I were pretty close. I will miss him dearly. Besides our kids and grand kids there are just myself 1 brother, 1 sister and 2 aunts left. I'll make it because of you.

Bob, I know this may not help much but loosing a sibling is a real shock and reminds us that we don't have forever treasure the memories and find your joy again it will be hard at first and there will be times that the pain will sneak up and smack you between the eyes out of nowhere. Even now there are times that something will remind me of my little tom boy sister trying to do boy stuff and I get choked up but there are also things I will remember that makes me smile, the smiles are a little more frequent now but my Tuffy sister is always in my heart and you will find that place too in time God Bless my friend

Dave, I have found that this is one of the very few places that I can talk and feel like I was listened to. Similar folks with same problems. Nearly everything on here is in good nature. Just like any other family there will be dis-agreements, arguments, a little love and a whole lot of friendship, with out actually talking face to face. That means a whole lot. Thanks guys and gals for letting me be a part of it all.

Matt, I am finding it very hard to stand firm. I feel the same way I did last Friday a week ago. I almost called him yesterday to ask what he thought about something :'( and that is weird as old as I am. My two brother acted like they were my Dad. Man I just don't know what to do as my next Brother is not going to last long for his kidney cancer has come back and he only has one. I just don't know. I do realize there are folks in worse situations than I and I feel for them.

:( Bob, Just remember the love goes on. My younger sister is gone just over a year and there are times it is still like yesterday that she passed, Whenever the sad comes back I will lift my spirits with some of the happy memorys.

I'm so sorry to see the passing of your brother and dear friend. You and your family will be in all of our thoughts and prayers.
Take comfort in knowing he's up in heaven watching out for you. *(&^ doesn't accept Fire Fighters in fear that they'll continue to do their job and put out the flames ;).

Katherine lost a brother last week and I have another brother that I afraid is getting close. Man I don't know what's going on. Thanks a lot a lot for the thoughts.
