Thanks for the photo, ShakySarge. Unfortunately, I'm still perplexed. Before posting here I had read lots of instructions elsewhere about the adjustment screw being under the cocking lever... so, that much I knew. I looked and looked and just couldn't find it, so I figured a photo of the location would solve my problem. But it hasn't. I'm attaching a photo of my gun from the same angle as your photo. I see no adjustment screw! What am I missing? Are there models of the Sumatra 2500 that lack the trigger adjustment option? Mine is a .22 carbine purchased from Pyramyd Air in April 2018. I really appreciate any help I can get to figure this out. Thanks.

It does indeed seem to lack the adjustment screw. Perhaps it was the end of the new "old" stock? The one pictured was another .22 so I am not real sure why or how they are different. Not sure of where else it would be to be honest. If I find anything out I will let you know. Very perplexing.

In some occasions the trigger adjustment nut with screw were broken of the tigger plate.
It could also be the problem with your Sumatra.
