Reseal Crosman Sheridan LAM350 BB Gun

Bought a like-new above gun and in trying it out, shot so weakly it wouldn't penetrate shoebox cardboard at 5 feet.
The mechanism is very similar to a Daisy Red Ryder. I even used the same spring tool that I've used on both Daisy 25 and Red Ryder. When I got it apart the plunger head was disintegrated. The trigger assembly looks to be the same as Daisy also.
Crosman does not have any seal parts for this model. Has anyone tried to replace the plunger head, gasket and felt with Daisy parts? If you know of a source of crosman parts for this unit that would be helpful

Got an update from cobalt327 that the piston plunger head will work from a red ryder. Waiting for a parts diagram and list from Daisy so I can place an order.

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

What gun is this ?
Is it the Crosman marlin cowboy that they discracefully slapped the Sheridan name on a few years back ?
If so that is very interesting, because the gun is way too new for something like that to happen.
I've had 70's-80's era Daisy's that were revived with oil, and they used the same kind of piston material used today.
I wonder if somebody oiled it with an oil that harmed the piston seal ?

I think you nailed it David(bantam) Put a new daisy piston seal in and would only propel a BB if you dropped 1 down the barrel. Took it apart and old piece of crosman piston seal was stuck to the abutment seal. The abutment and shot tube weren't lined up with the oval inspection hole. Ordered another daisy plunger seal as one I installed had a piece shaved off.
Should be back in business when I put it back together. Earned my certificate on BB gun repair!
Thanks to cobal327 for tips along the way.
