Umarex Markpoint

 Found this much clearer video by searching "Umarex SPA 60" on the youtube.
Reeves's channel has a few vids on the Markpoint-SPA 60 and adjusting the trigger.

 I found a much lighter spring for the trigger bar return position.
It might be a firing pin safety plunger spring from a series 80 Colt, I'm not absolutey sure...

 The trigger is better with the lighter spring and minor polishing, but I'm not finished yet.

I may explore the gun further but at this point the gun turned out to be exactly what I expected it to be when I first learned about these months ago and said it was a hard pass for me ( I completely forgot about originally thinking that )
I don't like the sights, it's not that accurate,  it's buzzy & hollow sounding to fire, and the grip is kind of too large.

I think I'm done buying cheap modern guns, this isn't the first time I bought one thinking I'm not expecting too much for the money and as long as I can hit a can at...etc only to be disappointed in the fact that I got exactly what I payed for.

I don't really like much of the contemporary airgun industry at all honestly, but every once in awhile a gun comes along that's kind of interesting and too inexpensive to pass up.
Rarely does it pay off.

 Yes I agree, like you I have sworn off cheapies; a bunch of times actually. This Markpoint sucked me in because of the modern looks and low price. My curiosity is detrimental to my finances in a lot of cases, lol.

 I have polished the internals and adjusted the springs as far as I think is reasonable in mine. It has an ok trigger now, not great, not terrible. I think the only further improvement would be smoothing the engagement surface in the piston itself. Maybe I'll do that some day, I have more interesting projects at hand for now.

 For what it is, it's fine. I wanted something to shoot informally with friends around the fire pit out back anyway. It has minute-of-beer can accuracy and if it accidentally gets left out in the rain I'll just hit it with the compressor and not care.
