Hear Ye, Hear Ye!
Come one, come all... Casual Match #5 of 2021/2022 is open for business.!!!
The Casual Match is a fun match. Shoot whatever you want at 10M (more or less depending on what you have available), use any position or rest that you prefer. See below for the details.
Rules are the same as for the 50’ Casual Match, except distance is 10M instead of 50’, using the 50’ target of choice. If you are limited to distance, shoot at whatever distance you have available. Classes are PCP Rifle (includes any rifle except spring or nitro pistons), Jumper (Piston Rifle, spring or gas), and Pistol. One entry may be made in each class.
The match #5 will run 2 weeks, through Sunday, 1/23/22.

That is why I continued hosting this match after JimQwerty123 passed away, long before I was a Moderator here. (check my sig line)
I played here a lot.... Looking back at my early scores, I am almost embarrassed, but Jim encouraged me... as I hope to do others.
He was enthusiastic on the "Off Season" to keep us shooting...and I wanted to carry on his legacy. It is more work than I thought it would be, I stink at hosting it compared to him, but it keeps the tradition going. ;)

Good shooting with the 300s Scott. Looks like you got that scope mounted better this time. Lol. I almost forgot to shoot this match. Ammon stopped by and reminded me they were due today. Went down to the basement and shot a target with my FWB 300s. Got a 200/200 but only 3X. Not nearly as good as the 14X I got last match. I did shovel a lot of snow yesterday, so my arms were tired, plus my bad back was hurting and my hemorrhoids had flared up. Oh, and I turned 74 last week so I'm feeling kind of old and decrepit. Let's see is there anything else I forgot to add. LOL.

Decided to shoot my Huntsman for the PCP entry. Looks like 12X is the flavor of the week for PCPs.

Thanks Charlie, good shooting all around! This TX is a bit over sprung out of the box but shoots ok. Maybe one day I’ll get it tuned, but right now it is still on its first tin of pellets and hasn’t seen the world outside of a cold New England basement.

Didn't want Scott to feel lonely in the Pistol Class so I dusted off my Crosman 2300 that I hadn't shot in over five years and decided to give it a try. HOLY MOLY... it's hard even seeing the target. I've got a little 2x20 scope on the Crosman and I couldn't see the dot at all and could hardly see the circles on the rifle target. I had to switch to the target with the 4,5,and 6 rings in black and just guess if I was holding the crosshairs on the dot.
