I thought I was done but I was wrong.I heard one last night again in the ceiling. I was annoyed to say the least. I thought I fixed the vent they were getting in, and obviously failed. Well the good news is the vent repair works great. The bad news is they found a new way in. It looks like the wind loosened up a few soffits and he was able to squeeze himself in somehow. Now to fix that. About 7:30 this morning I heard him in the ceiling again so I loaded my new R7 with a .177 RWS hobby. This gun one holes them at 20 yards so I was very confident. I love this thing, might be my favorite air rifle. I've only had it a day but, seriously, it's awesome. I snuck out the front of the house and caught him climbing down the tree in the side yard. I prefer to shoot them in the back yard so I watched him climb down the side tree and climb up the big maple in the back yard. Unfortunately for him he stopped in the crotch of the tree at 20 yards or so giving me a perfect angle. I settled the crosshair between his eye and ear and squeezed that awesome Rekord trigger. Here is the result.

Thanks guys. I try so hard, little buggers are relentless. It's hard to believe I kept them out for 3 years prior to this, and then suddenly, they are back at it with even more determination. I have a black squirrel that lives in the maple in the back yard. He's really bold and has no fear of people whatsoever. My 3 year old daughter named him Ninja. I've been leaving him alone for over a year and he's been leaving the attic alone. I wish more squirrels could be like Ninja. I don't even bother with bird feeders anymore, the squirrels destroy them fast.
