I have one but the charging cord is a USB plug that can charge off my desktop computer.I wouldn't trust myself to shoot at a target through the chrono. I set it up on the tripod and keep the rifle on a bench rest and eyeball the barrel to the chrono then shoot. It worked perfectly and recorded a string of 25 shots. No instructions come with it, just play it by ear. It's very small and I like that,Pictures of it and a Gamo .177 barrel.
Do y'all that have this chrono in hand- do you think the build quality is such that it could handle the air blast of big bores? "Big bore" meaning 120 fpe- 300 fpe+, anywhere from .243 up to .357? Do y'all think this chrono is accurate enough for tuning? This price is much better than say, a Magnetospeed Sport!
...so as long as it were mounted securely so the blast didn't blow it around it should be fine.
...OK I'll be the guinea pig
The chrony tripod mount is female 1/4-20 so it's plug and play on my tripod.
Has anyone compared the results with a second crony? I wonder how accurate it is

When I set rifles on sand bags, the barrels are 8 or 9 inches above the bench. Will the little tripods hold the chronograph that high or do I need to set the tripod on a book?
