Blue Streak valve seals

I swear I've read on this forum that both the front and rear valve seals on the soldered in Sheridan valves are lead, but I've pulled two 1974 valves out and the front seals on both of them are synthetic. Only the seal on the rear of the valves was lead. A PM from TimmyMac also said the sheridans have a synthetic seal on the front and a lead seal on the back.
That said, since I have recently purchased a reseal kit from Precision Pellet, which includes one synthetic and one lead seal, I now have a couple of surplus lead seals.
Should I use lead on both the front and back? The lead seals are about twice the thickness of the synthetic seals, plus are less compressible, so maybe it would make it a little more difficult compressing the springs and getting the locknut started?
Is there any advantage to using lead rather than synthetic on the front seal?

what if we removed all the warning labels, and let nature take it's course?

Use the synthetic seal. The transfer port won't line up with the lead seal in front. It's possible to lose velocity because of this.

afaik the synthetic ptfe seal is whats called a back up oring -there are three types split solid and spiral it's the solid that's the one
I prefer to use a bs014 o ring same as the Sheridan pgp paintball guns and due to the difficulty in getting lead seals I machine a bit of delrin to the same spec
