I just discovered a problem in a 760 that I recently rebuilt. I replaced the volume-limiting aluminum spacer in the valve with a hollow nylon one I got at the hardware store. The problem is that nylon apparently absorbs oil and swells, causing the valve to stick. The symptoms were that I could not get much pressure in the gun no matter how many pumps I gave it. Instead of nylon, buy the hollow aluminum spacers of the correct diameter which work just fine.
