I wish I knew about these mounts before I placed my order for the ones on the gun! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crosman-2240-2250-Picatinny-Scope-Mount-Adapters-NEW-/140605438352?_trksid=p4340.m185&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC.NPJS%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUA%26otn%3D5%26pmod%3D140594206208%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2877755413355868862
The scope mount I used is the Crossman B272 intermount available from the good folks at Pyramid air. See link below https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-b272-4-pc-intermount-3-8-dovetail?a=191]https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-b272-4-pc-intermount-3-8-dovetail?a=191] https://www.pyramydair.com/product/crosman-b272-4-pc-intermount-3-8-dovetail?a=191 Be warned, this is one of the worst scope mounts I have ever come across and it required putting in half round pieces of 3/8” round bar in the top of the mount just to make them clamp down properly. Even then there was some play while pumping which totally destroyed my accuracy. The “final solution” was to put a little JB Weld on before tightening the mounts. The new rock solid mount and a good cleaning of the barrel seem to have solved the accuracy problems I mentioned in the first post.
Hi I just bought a '30 or so 101, brass barrel, terrible groups! It's a nice gun so would love to restore it... what part number is the barrel you bought and where did you get it? I'd love to replace this one. I think 'ghost rifling' is an understatement on this one! Hope you're still on this thing... did your Groups ever get any better and what pellet did you settle on? ThanksMark O "Mortso"
