Glad to see someone in this area that shoots airguns. I was surprised by the few number of people listed in Florida. I'm in Ormond by the Sea. Let me know if you'd like to do some shooting sometime. Dave

Hi Allen. How are things down in P.O.?
-
you guys do know they have let the use of airgun to take squirrels and rabbits in Florida? i have checked it and its true so my son and i are going to plan a hunt this oct-nov.
-
I have buddy that's got a 100+yds range at his home. I shoot in my back yard a lot, but that's only 25yds. I don't know of any "public" places to shoot. You could check Florida fish & wildlife site to see if they list places to shoot & hunt with an AG.

Hello everyone, I a new to the forum and located in Orange Park (NE, Florida)
Will travel a reasonable distance, only have air rifles ( no pistols yet )
Have a .22 Benjamin Trail NP XL and a .20 Beeman R10 that I purchase new back in 1991.
right now considering purchasing a .25 Cal Marauder, would love to see and use one 1st hand before making the investment. Beside the air rifle also love to shoot bow, black powder and my 30-06.
I been thinking f going shrimping just a bit north of Ormond by the Sea at High Bridge, if you are into that let me know
I have boat as well. Anyways if it is outdoors and legal I am game.
Moved to the area last year and looking to make a few friends with similar interest!

Thank you for the tip, Shrimping in the St Johns is very dependent on the rain, too much rain can kill the season.
I did managed a few trips last year with about 2 - 3 gallons per trip but not much size. I hear stories of some years being
spectacular. I guess I have to be patient. I would not mind if you let me know when they are running in the area you mentioned. I could do the same when they are running here ad you can shrimp from my boat !!

Hello Everyone, I live in Port Orange and I am waiting for my Hatsan 125 th .25 cal to
get here. Wile waiting I found a Range :
Robert Strickland Shooting Range
(Volusia County)
Location: 1180 Indian Lake Road,
Daytona Beach, FL 32124
Phone: 386.226.0477
Hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Admission: Daily pass $10, Semi annual pass $70, Annual pass $100
I went over to check it out and they have a 25, 50 and a 100 yard area and thought that would be good for Sighting in my new rifle during the break in time so if you all have any thoughts I would be happy to read.

I've been out to Strickland many times. Mostly with firearms.

I've been out to Strickland many times. Mostly with firearms.
I tried calling to find out if they allowed air guns but they never answer the phone
so I took a ride and talked to the range master and he said it was aok and that some
of the PCP owners use the range at times so I think it'll be a good place to go and put
a few 100 rounds through the rifle for break in, and get it dialed in .......
