Saving inbox and sent messages before deleting

It's about time to cull my messages. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like throwing things away, so I'd like to save them to my computer before deleting them. Is that possible? I thought I had done it before but it might have been on a different forum.

I don't know if it's the best way but you can cut and paste a message into your word processor then save the file.  You may also be able to highlight the text and print it.  If you install PDF995 (free program) it acts as a printer and creates a pdf file which you save instead.  Your computer thinks it printed the file and you choose where to save it.

 I have my PM's sent to my Email direct from GTA, so I have a copy in my Email inbox I save to a GTA folder.

I do this as well but for a different reason. It's not to save them but I receive email alerts on my cell phone. With that I know when I have received a pm and can log onto the forum to respond. However, you can't reply to the sender via the email notification because it comes through the GTA server... you must log on the the forum and reply directly to the sender.
If you try to reply to the email notification you will get a reply from DeZ letting you know that you are a buffoon... ask me how I know.
