Humidity and paper targets

I use the 5x5 Gamo and Air Venturi targets in my pellet trap. I started shooting pistols more with wad cutters.
Because I live in an area of high humidity 99% at 5 am tomorrow my targets get soggy after I remove the plastic. The pellets cut perfect punch holes when I open the pack. But after a week they rip.

Should I store them in the freezer or get some sort of cigar box to keep my targets at the perfect moisture content?

Are you keeping them inside the house?
Even with high humidity like I have here, inside the house protects them from getting soggy and warping.

If your home is air conditioned, you should be just fine.

Funny but true....
I occasionally use shoot n see stick on targets. I stick them to the sides of spent 12 pk. boxes and hang them out. There are times that I don't shoot them all in a session. When I come out the next morning they are curled up closed but still stick to the boxes and by about 10am they are fully opened back up... just like many flowers do.

Fishing tackle box large enough to hold targets and and a piece of plywood and a little compartment for desiccant packs. Change the packs once in a while and voila! Works for fish hooks rusting too.

I keep the targets in the house. It’s not like there are wet just don’t punch clean holes after the box is open for a week or two. I can put two pellets through the same ragged hole then miss by just a millimeter and it rips the target. Not like a side ways hit. Like it did not cut all the way around and then I have a big torn hole I can shoot through.
