Duct seal also!
Many people are filling boxes with rubber mulch. That will stop powerful airguns and may be more than you need. Old clothing or rags work well also.
There is a gate here for D.I.Y. projects, many ideas for a pellet trap can be found there. Here is a pic of mine before the steel plate inside and then duct seal.In hindsight... while the duct seal is VERY quiet, it is a PITA to clean out the old pellets. It now weighs a ton!

It now weighs a ton!You beat me to it! And it’s not cheap either. The upkeep on a duct seal trap can be quite a pain in the neck. Particularly because you have a tendency to hit the Sam spot over, and over again.
