Since it do not know what the laws are and are not in my city / state, I'll have to leave out a lot of detail as well as any pictures.

Kill # 1 was today.

Use my Early '80's Crosman 664x Powermaster Model 66c, 10 pumps with Crosman Premier 7.9 gr. Domes.
ABOUT 30 feet away.
The *pest* was busy being a pest, didn't notice me at all.

Shot was about 0.25 inch under the eye, passed all the way through.
On impact it jumped up, flipped and hit the ground. Made one twitch and that was that.
So I feel it was very fast and humane with no suffering.

I have to admit, I liked it and I feel the need for more. :)

Sorry that I can't show pics. Once I find out the laws for  my area, then I can share more info and pics.
I had to share my first kill with all the veteran airgun hunters here.

Just my opinion but I think you have things backwards. You should know what you can and cannot shoot in your city/state BEFORE you shoot any bird or animal. You should also find out if you need a hunting license also.

Although I understand and share the excitement of your "first kill" with your old classic Crosman pumper, please look into the hunting and pesting laws in your area before posting in the Hunting Gate.

Thank you,
Harry

I will 2nd what Harry says, I commend you for your good shooting, however, NOT knowing your local laws/regulations about what you can and cannot shoot is a HUGE issue.  You could have broken any number of state and or federal laws depending on the species you deemed to be a pest.  I hope this is NOT the case, but you need to be aware.  I am locking this thread before someone posts something incriminating or down right rude.  Please before you post any more about "kills", do your homework and read up on your states laws.  Also check on your local township/city laws to see if you can even discharge an air rifle.
