Hey There Amigo's, I'd thought I'd do a review on my latest aquisition in the rifle dept,. A .22 Webley & Scott ValueMax,
http://www.dlairgun.com/Air-Rifles/Webley/002_Valumax.html
.It's got a synthetic stock(mines black, but there is a Camo version available as well), Nice muzzle-brake w/ a fiber-optic sight, the barrel is beautiful, nice bluing, and it's thick, I haven't taken calipers to it, but it's thicker than a regular Crosman barrel quite a bit. It's safety is automatic and located where it can be disengaged with your thumb, the rear sight is fine, and micro-meter adjustable, the few shot's I did take with it un-scoped where on the money and in the black, scoped, It's a tack-driver. I haven't tuned it yet, but power wise it's certainly not a slouch, according to the manufacturer it has "Power-Lock" technology , I've yet to figure out what exactly that mean's, but they feel it's important enough to put on the receiver,LOL, but seriously, This is an excellent entry level Webley, The gun itself is made in Turkey though not England. I most definitely will be getting a wood stock made for this shooter on my next trip to the Philippines, It's worth it. All in All, I would recommend this a/g to anyone, It's a great shooter, and I know it'll do very well in the field, and out of all the ammo I've tested with it so far (at least 15), It seems to like H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes, and H&N Baracuda Match round's, for some reason, when ever I use anything else, for example H&N FTT's I get spring twang, doesn't matter the brand, just the weight, anything under 18gr,. and I get "twang", which knocks out most of my favourite brands, Oh 'well, that's a plus for me since I plan on doing alot of hunting with this gun. Right now, I've got a Leupold Mark 4 3.5-10X40 M3, and I can get 10 shots into one ragged hole at 25yd's w/ this combo. Depending on how the tune goes I may pick one of these up in .177,

, Now, The advertisement says that the gun has "multiple power" levels, There's nothing on the gun, or in the manual on how this is accomplished, but if I ever find out, I'll post it, LOL, Anyway's, I've included a pic,, with the max resolution being so low to post a pic, it doesn't do it justice,,This really is a beautiful gun. Cheer's, Andy.

Good review. The .20 cal is also interesting. How's the trigger?

Its a Hatsan Striker in a different styled stock, the "power lock" is the anti bear trap I believe.
Dunno what they are talking about with the "multiple power levels" unless its just in reference to being able to buy it in 12FPE spec for the UK market.
Scotty the Striker/VMaxx is a Turkish take on the B19 platform (like your Optimus), and the triggers are much the same as any of the Gamo and B19 clone guns, just with a longer blade.
