Any break barrel may have droop but there's no guarantee it will. Diana has more of a reputation for barrel droop than Weihrauch but either may or may not have it. You will never notice it with open sights as they are mounted on the barrel and therefore parallel with it. I don't like the open sights on the current Diana 34 - they're fiber optic. I prefer the more conventional sights but that's just me. I believe you can get a peep rear sight for either. Barrel droop may be an issue for a scoped gun but it's not insurmountable. There are droop compensating mounts for that reason. I know of no open sights for the TX 200 but I believe they are offered on the Weihrauch HW77 which is also a fixed barrel. I think the Diana 48 also offers open sights as well as the 460. If you can handle the weight the Diana 54 has minimal to no recoil but I'm not sure what sights are offered.
I keep reading Weihrauch is on a bit of a QC slump and the abundance of plastic on the new Dianas makes me sad on the inside. Thanks for helping me to refine my requirements, guys. I think the variable power provided by a pumper is the way to go. I’m keeping my eyes open for an old benji or blue streak now. BTW, I hope you cats out in the southeast aren’t being too heavily impacted by the pipeline fiasco.
And I’m back into springerville ha. You guys are just the sort of enablers I’ve been searching for. Reckon I already have that benji 132. Might as well go for a springer.
