It varies for me depending on temps and time of year. Given their price point, I mostly go with Crosman Domes at 10.3 as a plinking pellet, shooting cans and such. For semi-accuracy, it can vary from the Diabolo 10.3s, FXs, and sometimes the HNs. All the lighter pellets at 7 or 8 grains did not work for me. At first it was frustrating as heck, now I just acknowledge that the favorite pellet varies from hour to hour and day to day. I find it a terrible hunting platform given the change in POI and pellet preference. I took the .22 out yesterday afternoon, 2 inches right at 3 o'clock, made scope adjustments, shot for a couple of hours, then the groupings creeped lower as the the clouds thinned out and the sun came out for evening.Shot at an invasive bird this morning, about 12 meters, and missed. So POI is probably back 2 inches to the left.I'll take it out tonight, the the POI will shift again, probably to the left, and I'll adjust the scope again. Good thing is all the initial scope adjustments now are pretty much just off of scope optical center, windage or elevation seems to always work to one side then back to the other side based on POI.So yes, my pellet preferences tend to change by the day. I believe it is weather / temp related, but have no scientific proof of that.
