Quote from: mrbulk on May 06, 2021, 04:13:29 PMIf one needs .22 cal JSB 18.13 grainers, I ordered (and they were mailed immediately) eleven tins of H&N "18" 18.13-gr pellets, according to what I've heard and read they should shoot very similarly. And they're actually in stock:https://www.airgundepot.com/hn-baracuda-18-round-nose-pellets-22-caliber-200-count.htmlThis is an Airgun Depot link but they also show them in stock at Pyramyd. I believe they're the same company.I've been testing with the 18.13 Cuda's and they are shooting 47 fps faster than JSB 18.13's in my M3. They shoot very close to the same velocity as the JSb 15.89's.They appear to obtain nearly the same accuracy as JSB's in both of my FX rifles.Weight is the same but the air pocket appears to look larger at the base of it. I'm no scientist but guessing they capture more air and hold it longer throughout the shot cycle.

I ordered 3 tins of JSB 18.13s today and they are already on there way to me .I had some on backorder from PA since early March and when I saw that PA got some AAs in I called to switch out the JSBs for AAs, PA got the swap wrong so I called back and thought it was corrected but when my order arrived I got 10 tins of AA 10.34s instead of 4 AA 10.34s and 6 tins of 18.13s in the 250 count tins. I also ordered a 20MOA scope rail from PA that has gone on a road trip around the southeast for 2 weeks now so I am done with PA. So today was the first time I ordered from Jeff and from the service and price I got it will be my go to supplier of ammo from now on. I am done with PAs lousy service and poor shipping practices. BD

I've been waiting over a month for MKll's from Mac1, JSB's are the most popular pellet and with all the new airgun shooters, supplies can't keep up....
JSB in .22 and .25 are probably the most in demand (I checked your gun list...lol), especially for the PCP crowd. - Utah Airguns- Georgia Airguns- Ohio Airguns- Trenier- Topgun AirgunsMight also consider the Edgun West pellets since I think? they're just rebranded JSB. There's also the FX versions if anyone even has those, also just JSB rebranded. Same with Air Arms if you can find any of those.

He will be my go to ammo supplier now for sure. I ordered the pellets yesterday around noon and they will be here Monday in the mail. . That's way faster than PA has ever got an order to me. My 20MOA rail is now stuck in Georgia again for the second time in less than a week from PA and shows to be here today in Fedex tracking, not going to happen for sure. Done with PA.The main reason I have not bought from Jeff before now is he does not carry Air Arms pellets and my guns seem to prefer them over JSBs. Plus JSBs quality has seemed to slip in the last few years in size consistency.By the way did you ever get your TX 22mm kitted gun to shoot properly or is it still very hold sensitive.BD

I've found the same thing as you in regards to AA having better quality and consistency over JSB's. The AA pellets are about he ONLY thing I buy from PA/AGD. I'm kind of done with them too. I wish AA made the JSB Original Monsters, which is what my RAW prefers. The size definitely varies from batch to batch!I did get that thing shooting like a laser. It was still slightly hold sensitive though. Unfortunately, I got to a point where I needed some cash and I sold my best 2 guns - this TX and my Regal. They both went to great people though. The TX is the rifle that I regret selling over all the others. I tried to get another one for about a 6 month period, but I couldn't find a new one or a used one in good condition. I gave up and even sold all of my spare parts. My HW50S will be my last and only springer going forward. It shoots just as good as the TX did, and has no hold sensitivity.

It shoots just as good as the TX did, and has no hold sensitivity.ZackGlad you got the TX sorted out finally but bummed you sold it, but understand the need for cash as well. I am looking for a 22 cal TX to put the 22mm kit from my B40 into so I will have both cals of 22mm TXs to enjoy. I am very hesitant to buy a new one due to the dirty/rusty barrel issues they have experienced in the last year or so. Plus I am a tinkerer so mostly buy used guns to save cash and fix/customize to my liking as I have done with most every ride/toys in my life. Just the mechanic in me I guess. The right deal on a 22 cal will come along when its my time.I recently traded a 22 cal HW 97 blue laminate I had for a very good condition 1966 Diana Model 60 tyro that needed rebuilt from a friend that was not comfortable try to fix himself and did not want to pay a tuner big bucks to fix it. I have to say all the hype about the GISS system being so difficult and fussy to get timed correctly is way over rated. I found a you tube video from Joe Rhea rebuilding a Diana 75 that showed the easy trick to making a bar clamp and using a welding rod as a spring guide when compressing the springs back in to the gun. It was a piece of cake to rebuild and the parts only cost 68 bucks from Macarri. So I had 400 in the 97 and the model 60 tyro rebuilt and shooting 570 with 7.87s in 85/90% condition is easily a 700 dollar gun. It is like shooting a PCP since it has no recoil at all and stacks pellets at 25 yards with ease. Like you I much prefer the AAs over JSBs also but right now I will take what I can get and the 18.13s I shoot in my mutant which is a laser with them so the JSBs will do fine. They will be here Monday so cannot complain about Jeff's shipping speed at all. I just got all the AAs my other guns need from my PA order that they messed up so should be in good shape for many months now.Take care my friend.BD
Ebay has some floating around fyi.
