Crazy times indeed...JSB has been out of stock for months. But the FX and AA pellets were still available. Same place, same machine, same die, same price.... different label
I've tried for a few weeks now to get both JSB Match Diabolo Exact King pellets in .25 and JSB Match Diabolo Exact Jumbo Heavy in .22 Cal from Pyramyd Air with no luck. No stock... I tried again today and Pyramyd Air is showing out of stock and that the item is past due for both... I took a look on Amazon and from what I see there Jeff Bezos is doing some major price gouging as their prices are just about 50% to 100% more than what Pyramyd would charge... Are we going through an airgun ammo shortage now too that I wasn't aware of?Charlie in CT

FX from the same factory were always available. 15g and 18g...at the same price... and both shoot better in my guns.FX pellets are single die while JSB are multi die. So naturally the FX are holding a higher standard than JSB. They are literally the same in all ways but the die.Well actually...this is straight from JSB..."There is no difference between JSB and FX pellets at all. Both brands are made on the same dies. FX pellets are made on multiple dies but never mixed into one tin or case just like any other pellets from our factory."How do I know? I work at Predator International.JoeInteresting JoeWhat would explain the FX shooting considerably better groups that the JSB's on the same day, same gun? It wasn't a one time affair either.... In both the 15g and 18g sizes. Maybe I just got an exceptional lot of FX tins?It can be a lot of things. Lot#, new die vs old die, your rifle's likes and dislikes.

Are we going through an airgun ammo shortage now too that I wasn't aware of?Charlie in CTYes, but not for any of the various reasons I've seen mentioned in this and other threads. The problem has nothing at all to do with materials, powder burners, or Amazon. The thing is that JSB pellets are imported, and the ports themselves are weeks and weeks behind in offloading cargo ships. The pellets got ordered, but they'll be sitting in shipping containers for much longer than "normal" (whatever that is anymore). The glut extends far beyond the docks, tying up everything from customs to intermodal rail shipping. Bottom line is that oodles of consumer goods simply aren't going to restock in "normal" (there's that word again...) time this year and no-one's going to unstick it all any time soon.(I work for a logistics company, servicing some very large manufacturers, it's not a pretty picture.)
I saw on Fox bushiness where there is a world wide shortage of shipping containers,... and when they do get delivered,... they just sit because there is not enough truck drivers to move them out of the docks.
most of the listings on Amazon that are gouging are marketplace sellers, not Amazon, in fact a lot of them buy the pellets from Amazon and then re-list them, if you follow the listings regularly you can see it happen in almost real time, Amazon goes out of stock, and boom, a new market place listing.
If you have ANYTHING to back that up I am interested!MonkeyMan himself reported they are all the same... and he works for Predator International.Quote from: Monkeydad1969 on March 01, 2021, 01:43:24 PMQuote from: Hoosier Daddy on March 01, 2021, 01:39:26 PMQuote from: Monkeydad1969 on March 01, 2021, 11:08:25 AMQuote from: Insanity on February 26, 2021, 10:48:09 PMQuote from: Hoosier Daddy on February 26, 2021, 06:01:52 PMThe thing I found interesting though all this is that while JSB were out of stock..
