No I did not replace the poppet spring. I had only taken apart the other end of the rifle with the bolt and hammer and trigger assembly. I am off tomorrow so I will empty the air tank and take a look at that end of the rifle.Took me a little while to figure out the correct order in which to put that part back together and by the time I was finished I had enough time to shoot three magazines and then go to workOn the bright side that broken sear did weld right up and seems to work fine. So if anybody does get one broken a good welding shop can fix it in about half an hourNow that I think about it I'm curious what would happen if I replaced the poppet spring but left the original more powerful hammer spring. That should give some more FPS if I'm thinking correctly, but would probably only give three or four shots if it's allowing more air to escape
I did notice that if I let the pressure drop below 1500 psi and leave it for a couple of days that it leaked down so its best to store it with 1800 + psi..
I see you had it welded and I was going to offer to TIG weld it for free. I do a fair bit of gun related TIG jobs.

So far I have had no problems with the repaired one. but it will be nice to have a backup. Plus I can send one or the other off the have someone make a copy of it out of something a bit stronger if I have any further problems.
I might try mine without a poppet spring, since I have a compressor and see how that works, I did notice that if I let the pressure drop below 1500 psi and leave it for a couple of days that it leaked down so its best to store it with 1800 + psi..
still haven't tried your slugs, maybe today if weather permits.
