Picking up a Bully in .45 and just wanted to pick your brain on a couple things, if you happen to be a fellow big bore Bully user.
It’s hard to tell which of the available bullets I’ve seen for sale would work with the magazine and cycle well in the gun. I believe the magazine is 16mm deep, which rules out most longer bullets right off the bat, but there also seem to be different diameters available: .452, .453, .454, .457... Don't want to get one too narrow or too wide.
I’ve come across one supplier selling JSB XXL pellets in .45 cal, but not sure if guess are now out of production or if these would be a good option.
Will also need to pick up a moderator to make this thing a bit closer to back yard friendly. Been considering the Donny Emperor and a Neil Clague custom LDC. Anyone have any experience or recommendations either way. The Donny is much more expensive and Neil says his is “one of the quietest on the market” (but would be non-returnable if it doesn’t work out).
Appreciate any input. Thanks!

I do not have a .45, do have Other Hatsans the bores do run larger , .453 or .454 would be my guess, depth of magazine limits slug length also, perhaps send Mr. Hollowpoint an email and see if he has done any slugs for the Bully, he may even have the magic bullet for that gun, that or NSA

I have a .45 Bully. Been having good luck with Hunters Supply 166 gr in .457. Much cheaper buying them in boxes of 250 too. I jumped up to the .457 because .454 round balls would roll halfway down the stock barrel. I replaced it with a new stock barrel from Hatsanand found it liked the .457 too. No problem keeping a mag full touching at 50 yards. I have boxes of different bullets I have tried. Pm me if you want to try a few. I removed the indexing lever and mag so I shoot it single shot. I have a couple different moulds that I can make heavier slugs too. l
