In a couple of reviews I saw recently, it appears that the extended barrel’s shroud is not threaded on, but instead held on by a grub screw. Would anyone happen to know the exact outside diameter of the extended barrel itself, without the cover?

Hi Charlie,The two Ultras I have (one is a Maxarmory from two months ago) have close-fit brakes that use a setscrew. The barrel o.d. mics at .394", which is odd.A clean 10mm hole will be a little undersize. I drilled my real brake to that and had to follow with some light reaming work, but it was a nice fit that way....don't like sloppy fitting brakes when they're real brakes But, Dennis makes a good point and I agree with his advice, imo - Wyo
I am late to the party, just want to thank the OP for this thread.I have owned my Webley Alecto (non-Ultra in .177) for many years, and have always wanted to get the shoulder stock. Now thanks to this thread, my wallet is $110 lighter, but I also get the shoulder stock without having to order from the UK!I also have a PPA-700 with the folding shoulder stock. In terms of triggers, the PPA-700 is better, but after cleaning the gunk out of the trigger mechanism out of the Alecto, the Alecto is catching up as a "no-stage" trigger. The Alecto that I have has a threaded barrel. It was not easy to find a good quality adapter to UNF 1/2 inch. Found one eventually. Neil Clague made a shorter LDC with the angle of the threaded cone to match the angle is needed to cock the Alecto. I will post again once the should stock arrives!
Accurate shooting gun, a little strange looking, but fun. I just wish they had put more cross slots on the receiver so you could have more versatility in mounting a red dot or scope.
Definitely nothing to brag about. Just some back yard shooting.HP-01 Ultra, full four pumps, rested on open palm, twelve shots (just to make sure it was dead), Meisterkugeln 7.0g, 20 yds. Chea-pass Chinese red dot sight. With this

With thisHi, I just acquired a second-hand Webley Alecto and it needs a reseal. Do you or any of the other members know who repairs these guns? Any help would be greatly appreciated.Cheers,Ed Musick
