Thanks for the report Steve! Good info...Hey, if you are still exchanging emails, perhaps you could confirm if all models have etched reticle’s?
Very interested in the responses you receive. I think Wes himself could chime in, he seems to have asked that question already, and then we could compare notes if the answers match up. Keep us updated, one way or another! THANKS! Matthias
The ED line of Discovery has a lifetime warranty. You get what you pay for (often, that is...). Considering that many of the Discovery scopes are sub $200, it seems almost overly demanding to also want a lifetime warranty at that price (though some companies give that, like UTG, which I personally don't like for several reasons, but their warranty is awesome). 🔶 I live very away from being able to send in a scope for warranty work in the US — and if my my $180 Discovery lasts me for another year or so, I think I got my money's worth, really. 😊 🔶There have been many posts about scopes on magnum springers. And for me it boils down to these two good options: (1) Buy a tough scope with a great warranty (lifetime, no receipt required). And hope for the best that the magnum won't break it eventually (because they often do, irrespective of the scope's price). (2) Or buy a not so tough scope, and mount it with a Bullseye ZR mount, that you have fixed up using some of the instructions in the links below. (3) You could of course buy a tough scope AND mount it with a Bullseye ZR mount. Maybe that's overkill?
