Not bad, but compared to a ported Bulldog, it is sadly lacking FPE ... my Bulldog was ported before it ever fired a shot.Regards,Roachcreek

With the extra magazine it was $544. A semi-Pitbull even without a $500 regulator kit will run $1200. Doing it yourself it is still double the cost of a Challenger. $800 for the stock Bulldog, $100 just for a power spring and trigger kit, etc. A fully modded Pitbull (at $1800!) can make up to 275 fpe with it's best slug, or only 50 more fpe than my Challenger (with only a "light" 103.8 gr. slug tested so far). It is very likely that with heavier slugs I will be in the 240-250+ range of fpe straight out of the box at less than 1/3 the price of a Pitbull. There is no comparison. Dollar for dollar the Challenger easily beats a Bulldog in price per fpe, is made of stronger materials, and stock out of the box puts out at least 25 more fpe than a Bulldog. It even puts out quite a bit more fpe stock than the manufacturer claims, which is the opposite of a Bulldog. That a Challenger is made in the Huben factory by the same people that make the fantastic K1 series is just a bonus.

So far I like what i see, especially the Bullpup version.IF you want to compare based what's available from tuner shops and $$$ and energy are the preferred metrics, Veradium is where to go for a "tuned" Bulldog. For a little over two grand Brian will sell you a 360fpe+ Bulldog As far as DIY "power tuned" Bulldogs.... My DIY gun does 3 shots 945-960-945fps with 174gr BBT's on a 3600psi fill and 340cc tube. Max out the preload and it will send the same 174gr right at 1000fps. The platform is capable and parts are just a phone call away. I am certain in the right hands the Challenger can be "power tuned" as well. But without a balanced valve, you will be limited by the straight pull bolt and how strong of a hammer spring the platform can safely run. Put a thousand or so rounds through the Challenger and report back on its durability. I hope it does well, it does seem to be a promising platform. But so did the DAR.
