"  and once put his niece up at a Four Seasons hotel for eight nights at a cost of more than $12,000, the complaint said.""

yea , this is right out of a comedy skit.. I hate charities and non profits  in general , oftentime with the overhead and exec pay , about 11 % makes it to those in need ..Id rather hand money right to a homeless person ,, buy someone a cup of coffee or a burger or whatever. I donated to wounder warrior once, then a few months later the ceo was busted blowing millions on parties and jet rentals.

I never supported the NRA though I think they have done a lot of fine stuff like hunter safety training programs. The current scandals are a sad comment on how the best intentions can be subverted by bad decisions, poor planning and venal administrators.  Hopefully they will recover from this and jettison those losers who have brought a great institution low.

The fact that the NRA owns various politicians through their political donations makes your claim false. We can also look up your political donations as it is public information and any American’s business.  :-*

I joined  NRA just in case my ft club needed NRA members for sanctioned events.
I do not want to be associated with any corrupt organization so I will not be renewing my membership.

I've been seeing headlines for a few days now. All I have to say is that I will be happy to have them in Texas!

For Cripes sakes fellas!...Can we not have at least ONE discussion about a gun organization in the news that does NOT turn political? Jeeezzzz...This gets to be ridiculous.

For cripes sake the NRA is a political organization!  :o

Let’s talk about organized religion. It too is a series of political organizations.  :o

The thread was started to discuss the MOVE..not the politics of the organization.

I think the only way for the NRA to survive is to get away from New York and move to a more welcoming state.
My range receives a lot help for junior shooters from them and I hope things get turned around and it continues to support marksmanship programs.
