You do not get the correlation between you having others in your car and spreading Covid?  ???
That was a creative way of asking you whether or not you recognize the similarity?
Do the rest of us have a choice with Covid?
Or not?
Jesse

I believe it is you who do not get the correlation between living WFO and surviving by use of proper safety equipment for the situations to be encountered at any given time. I never said I do not wear a mask to protect myself and others, just as I wear seatbelts and proper riding gear to protect myself in case of crashes and accidents. WFO does not automatically mean unsafe because I would not still be here if I was not safe.

And for what's its worth the vast majority of incidents I lived thru were due to faults of others not being aware of their surroundings which created the resulting problems for me. I have been riding on 2 wheels for well over 50 years and only wrecked twice that were solely my fault with no other vehicle involved, all other were the fault of others. I avoided far more wrecks due to my awareness of my surrounding and the unawareness of others that created a evasive reaction from me to avoid them.

Loving the thrill of life on the edge does not mean living unsafe for me or others. Please do not assume you know me or how I live based on your fears.

I have had professional road racing and flat rack training from pro riders many times and raced cars and bikes for most of my life in controlled closed course situations.

If I have to explain you wouldn't understand.

BD
If you are saying that you do wear a mask/etc to protect others; then I do owe you an apology. I went off quite severely on you and others on this thread; I hope that you can understand my reasoning. I firmly believe people will die as the result of poor management of this pandemic; as such I could not rightfully ignore what appeared to me as a push to stop any measures that attempt to control the disease. I could not keep silent, I had to challenge that opinion. I thank all who don't completely believe in the severity of COVID for wearing masks, etc. That is really all anyone can/should ask. You have every right to your own opinion, regardless of whether I feel you are wrong or not. The only place my conscience would not let me rest at was when it appeared folks refused to help protect others. I hope you can understand what I mean; I have no quarrel with anyone here if they simply help protect others; regardless of what they believe....
Thank you to all who chimed in with first-hand experience; that information is more valuable than endless paragraphs of reasoning on common sense.
God bless,
Jesse

Jesse
Apology accepted.

I have multiple medical conditions that put me in the high risk category if I were to contract covid so I take precautions as necessary by wearing a mask, extreme social distancing and staying home as much as possible. I have actually become quite comfortable at home away from people and find it very peaceful not having to deal with the current mindset of the hustle and bustle crowds of todays world.

I am very old skool in my ways and have no intention of changing any of that in my lifetime.

Live and let live.

To be old and wise you must first be young and stupid.

People that either wear a mask, or don’t is one thing.

People that are dumb, foolish or scared enough to believe people should be forced to blindly follow “mandates” “for the children” or because it’s “patriotic” better figure their issues out before trying to force them on others.

I wear protection everywhere. My protection is not seen but it’s always there.

I am American. I have fought for America. Every breath I take in America will be American air.
I will never breathe communist socialist anarchist air in America.

My protection is protected by and protection for the constitution.

Face masks however is debatable protection who’s only backing are a media with a addenda and unconstitutional mandates. Oh and let’s not forget all the gov snitches.

You still have churches ordered to be closed but strip clubs can be open..

If you can’t see a bigger picture yet and have No idea how much worse it could get then perhaps you should go on believing the media kool-aid.

+1

In God, my wife and myself I trust period.

Good job fellas.... you managed to get the thread locked.
However, it was inevitable as with most threads in the Back Room gate.
This thread has nothing to do with interests in other hobbies and now has turned the corner into political references.

It will now be locked for admin review.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion however, we have rules on this forum.
