Man, you've got me wanting to pick one of these up. The Academy website says these can shoot up to 1000 fps, so there has to be some changes made to the Daisy 880 action to make that happen.Does anyone know when these started being advertised to shoot 1000 fps?

Seems I remember them rated at 800 FPS a few years ago, but I could be wrong. They definitely shoot hard with lead for a pumper. Definitely says 1000 FPS. with alloy on the box.I took the side plates off last night to do a c/c mod to the trigger. Everything still looks 880 in the trigger group...seemed to have a stiffer trigger spring though? May not be.I could’nt get the retaining pin back in the trigger with my usual card thickness. I took the flat spring out for now, and tonight i’ll try a thinner card.
I originally bought one for my daughter for Christmas and ended up thinking it was so cool I bought me one also right after I bought an 880. I got both ours at tractor supply and both say 1000fps. I wonder if there was a change at some point and the old stock were 800 and that could explain the similarities in the parts diagrams.
