.22 JSAR Raptor group at 100 yards
« on: September 21, 2019, 04:32:44 PM »
I talk a walk for squirrels this morning and after missing one at 25 yards (held under...my fault) I decided to put the Raptor on the Born Wild Chair and see where it was at 100 yards. There was absolutely no wind at that moment so the timing was good. I had one clip loaded so I checked the holdover/mildots on the steel for one shot and then moved onto the shoot-n-see target. The pic below is the next five shots. Really impressive. I don't think I even have a complete tin through it yet. JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy 18.13 gr.

At a 100 with a pellet ... nothing wrong with that, along with being the first attempt  ;D

JSAR has a winner for sure. Enjoying my 30 cal. Just as accurate I'm sure, but have no 100 yards here on my 1 acre! ;)

Nice shooting!
After watching Travisís raptor tear down video you can see how these rifles are going to get nothing but better with time!

Nice shooting Kevin, shoot a couple tins through it and break in the regulator and the groups will get better.

Is yours a choked barrel? I am thinking of one in either .223 or .250 with a TJ's bullet barrel.

going to be playing with a .172 barrel inn the RS II shortly and Hobby is doing the same with an Impact. Good things coming, and JSAR is right in the middle of it!

The Raptors quick change barrel system would be a huge help in the kind of testing I do in both cast pellets and Bullets.

Wow - gotta love that!  Somebody asks you a question about your gun, and you don't even need to reply because the manufacturer even handles that for you!!  Now that is some serious customer service right there . . . .  ;)

I personally would have liked to have seen multiple groups posted to rule out any questions about only posting the best or the one lucky group.

However, having only the one group to drool over, it's obvious to me that Raptor is well balanced harmonically throughout to be able to pull that group off with a 18gr pellet at 100 yards.  Very impressive.

Having a RAPTOR SS valve in my warp and running on 2100 psi .... with jsb 18's have hit 1100 fps and there was more there.  So IMO you will be able to shoot them far beyond there best accuracy, so whats the point ???
