Ordered a Walther LGU in 177 (12ftlb) from Krale gun was here in 4 days that still kills me. Cant say how impressed I am with this gun,the bluing is the best of all my springers, the stock is very nice with high cheek comb.Gun is very easy to cock about the same as my HW97, mounted a BSA 4+14+44 FFP scope on it. Gun weighs 11LB 6oz with scope and mount.I like the location of the safety and it is reset able.Have shot about 300 pellets through it so far its seems to really like the JSB Express 7.87 shooting them at 780FPS. My outdoor range is snowed in and has been very windy up here so all shooting was done in the garage at 25ft. this gun is the least pellet picky of any springer Iv got shoots almost every thing in 1 hole at 25ft not at all hold sensitive. The only thing I dont like is the trigger very long first stage and after adjustment its breaking at 1LB 10oz.Its also all plastic I know they make a metal trigger for this gun and I may look in to that down the road.Gun came well lubed and has a very nice shot cycle this may be the first springer that I leave alone cant think of a thing I can do to make it better. So far Im very impressed with this LGU and cant wait to get out side and see what it will do at longer range.

That rifle in .22 is on my radar, along with the HW97 or -77, and the Sig ASP 20 with W-3 scope. The one thing that bothers me is the trigger, as you have described, not because it's plastic, but because of the creep and other performance issues. But, it looks like that can be solved, so, please, keep us posted!

Congrats on a nice rig Jim! I've wanted to try one of these for awhile. Also, be aware that there may be 2 tuning triggers for these guns. There is the original Walther Tuning Trigger (available at Krale) and I thought I remember reading where someone else started making triggers for these (not the Yankee trigger mod). I just don't remember where I read about it... sorry

I can tell you, I've the same one with the 12 ft/lbs tuning kit installed in it and the 2 screws trigger. It wasn't easy to find a good setting for it, between the sear spring tension and the fact the sear won't always come back if not strong enough when releasing the trigger, now I've found the good point. Extremely accurate, I give mine JSB heavies. It is just deadly consistent, the fps are everytime the same and accuracy astounding. It is also not hold sensitive at all. I've also the moderator in front, the only noise you head now is the pellet hitting home.
Good choice Potpie.

By design, the LGU trigger can never be adjusted as good as many of the other upper end guns it competes against. It is a leverage problem that disallows it. Even the "tuning trigger" doesn't cut it. I tried it myself.
Some years back, I did a mod on my trigger that corrected the leverage situation and posted it on this site.
Since then, I read a post or an article (can't remember which) that someone duplicated my mod but did it in a much more professional manner. You can try searching for LGU trigger mods and maybe come up with it.
Here is a link to my mod. Not pretty but still working to this day and it made my LGU trigger as good as my TX200 trigger which is the best of the best if you like the pull in ounces.

I did a little lookin' and found the pro trigger from Tony Leach. Here is the GTA link to his. He uses the same idea as mine in a professional package. All based on proper leverage.
