I have been watching this little CO2 pistol since it was announced. I own several PB Glocks (23, 27, 42 & 43), so I thought it was be fun to own a replica that's essentially the same size as my 23 (.40 equivalent of the 19). Well, I grabbed one from SG when they had Double Member Discounts and Free Shipping, so picked it up for $54 and change.
PROS: This is a blast to shoot! It's got typical Co2 BB gun accuracy, but it is more accurate than the Crosman SNR357 I picked up off the Field Supply Refurb Sale. The magazine holds 16 BB's and it will easily shoot 4 magazines from a single CO2 cartridge. Look and feel are a very good replica of the real thing, however, the dimensions are not exact (will explain later). It's slings BB's as fast as you can pull the trigger, and that can be done pretty quickly while maintaining reasonable accuracy since there is no recoil and this is not a blow-back pistol. The design is pretty innovative since the Allen wrench used to seat the CO2 cartridge is incorporated into the removable back strap. This is also how you access the CO2 cartridge well. The magazine release works just like the PB to release the magazine. The BB feed locks in the full down position and the feed hole for the BB's is in the center of the flat side of the magazine, so loading it is a pretty quick and easy process. Much easier than the design that incorporate the BB feed and CO2 cartridge in the magazine. Kudos to Umarex on this design!
CONS: As mentioned previously, the dimensions are not exactly the same as the PB Glock 23/19. It's just a tad bigger and not as rounded on the corners of the receiver, enough so, that it does not fit any of the Glock 23 holsters I own! The 23/27 are my everyday carry, so I have a pretty wide variety of holsters, and it doesn't fit any of them. This is really the only con for me, but, it is a pretty big one since I really wanted to be able to use my everyday holsters when shooting it. It does fit nicely in the universal Crosman holster, so that is going to have to do.
Here are some side by side pictures of the Umarex Glock 19 next to my Glock 23. The target shows 16 rounds shot at a pretty good clip at 10 yards.
