Title: New Norica Storm .177
Post by: Frank on November 15, 2010, 05:07:27 PM
Received my Norica Storm .177 today. Came in fine condition, plastic wrapped, double boxed.  Put a dry patch through the barrel several times, which did not come out very dirty. Checked the screws, a bit loose, just needed snugging.
Zero'd it best I could with the open sights at ten yards. Ended up with about a two inch group with ten different pellets. That tells me it is not to pellet fussy.
After about a hundred pellets I shot through a chrony.  It averaged 864, High avg 902, Low avg 831.
The trigger is very nice, smooth, easy and crisp.  I like the balance too, easy to handle.
It is much better than my Walther Force 1000 the clone of this rifle.
Recommended? Yes!

Thank you Viento for the welcome to the club. My first day with the Storm was a pleasure. It is about the best rifle I have had out of the box. It grouped the pellets, did not shoot them all over the place. Just had to adjust the sights to move the group to the bull. I almost did not get the Storm as I have a Walther Force 1000. But glad I did as the Walther DOES NOT COMPARE.
Thanks for the parts picture. Why the two main springs? I have two other Spanish airguns from two other makers, but my third one so far is the winner.

Thanks.........

NOw I understand that. Yes it was a good buy, one of my better decisions.
Going to mount a scope on it today. Been doing some other airgun repairs today.  See you have been shooting airguns for 32 years. You must have allot of knowledge about them. I have been with it for about 10 years. The weather is turning on us, getting cold and windy. So, shooting days will be few and far between.
