Hey Mitch,

Its something like this.

Ram Mounts RAM-111 1.5-Inch Diameter Ball Mount with 6.25-Inch by 2-Inch Rectangular Base and 2.5-Inch Round Base, Black Finish

I use a diamond shaped base instead of the circle one, but it acts as a ball socket adjustable riser.
